Gris Cendre Himalaya applies the same graduated dyeing technique as the standard Himalaya but shifts the center tone from near-white to a cool, smoky gray. The edges still darken to taupe-brown, but the overall palette reads warmer and more grounded than the pearlescent white version. It is a distinct production run, not a variation caused by aging or oxidation, and appears far less frequently than the standard Himalaya finish.
This is a Birkin 30 in matte Niloticus crocodile. The matte finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, which accentuates the tonal graduation across the scale pattern. Palladium hardware is the only option on Himalaya production. The rounded Niloticus scales are most visible at the belly panels, where the gray center tone is lightest and the graduation effect most apparent.
