From Chanel's 2014 Pre-Fall Métiers d'Art Paris-Dallas collection, Karl Lagerfeld's only US-themed Métiers d'Art capsule, unveiled on the runway at Fair Park in Dallas. The holster is among the collection's most silhouette-extreme pieces: a gun-holster form rendered as a crossbody, the shape itself the statement.
The body is black tooled leather carrying hand-embossed floral-scroll motifs drawn from Texas saddlery and bootmaking, the relief catching light unevenly across the surface, overlaid with Chanel's diamond quilting. Fringe runs the contour edges, and aged silver hardware holds the dark register the collection defined: a CC plaque at the upper strap junction, concho-style medallions at the flap and lower panel, and the interwoven leather-and-chain shoulder strap. Dual zip closures open to a black textile-lined interior with a main compartment and a zip pocket.

Collector's Insight:
Paris-Dallas was Chanel's single American Métiers d'Art collection, and the holster was produced in extremely limited quantity and never reissued. Within the capsule it is one of the most recognizable runway forms, the piece that most directly carried the collection's Western thesis, which makes it a reference object for collectors of Lagerfeld-era Métiers d'Art rather than a wearing bag.
Resale Insight:
Lagerfeld's Métiers d'Art runway pieces from this period trade as collector instruments, and the Paris-Dallas holster sits at the top of that tier on silhouette extremity, single-collection production, and Karl-era provenance now closed since his 2019 passing. Secondary-market activity is thin and inconsistent, and excellent examples surface infrequently, trading at multiples of original retail.
