Collector's Insight: The Lisse finish comes from burnishing the hide by hand with an agate stone until the natural proteins take a gloss, so the shine sits inside the surface rather than over it. On a deep colour like Cassis that drives light into the pigment, and at 20 centimetres the whole bag reads as a single saturated field.
