The story behind the Evelyne

Named after Evelyne Bertrand, who ran the Hermès equestrian department, and dated by Hermès to 1978. The perforated H on the front let equestrian equipment dry. Pockets, strap adjustability and fittings vary by size and generation; familiar sizes include 16, 29 and 33 cm.

Swift leather is a smooth, fine-grained calfskin with a subtle sheen. It's softer to the touch than Box but more scratch-sensitive, developing character with use.

The Evelyne's perforated H on the front panel is the bag's defining feature, originally designed to ventilate equestrian grooming tools. The open-top design with snap closure makes it one of the most accessible bags in the Hermès range. Adjustable crossbody strap.
