The story behind the Bolide
Hermès dates the Bolide to 1923 and ties its rounded, zipped design to motor travel; it was the first Hermès bag closed by a zipper. Made in miniature, handbag and travel sizes.
Discover Hermès Bolide BagsAlligator Mississippiensis features wider, flatter scales than crocodile, with a distinctive umbilical scar pattern. The hide takes dye exceptionally well.
The Bolide was the first Hermès bag to feature a zipper closure, introduced in 1923. The rounded silhouette and top-zip construction make it one of the house's most understated designs. Interior features a zip pocket. Detachable shoulder strap included.
