The story behind the Picotin Lock
A supple, bucket-like bag closed by a leather strap and padlock; a picotin is a measure of oats for a horse. Lining, handles and accessories vary by size and edition.
Read the Picotin Lock referenceThe Lucky Daisy edition prints a field of daisies across the Picotin's Swift, outlined in Cuivre and Blanc over Mauve Sylvestre, so the bag reads as pattern from a distance and as flowers up close. Hermès released it in 2022 on the Picotin Lock, the open-top bucket introduced in 2002 and modeled on a horse's feed bag.
The construction stays the Picotin's own: a strap passes between the two handles and closes with the padlock, and Swift's fine grain carries the print evenly around the curved body. At 18 cm it carries by hand, or on a chain worn crossbody.

Lucky Daisy was a limited edition, made on the Picotin in several colorways, among them Chai, Nata and this Mauve Sylvestre, Cuivre and Blanc combination.
