Hermès Colors in 2026: Guimauve, Bai Brun, and Beyond

A seasonal color story becomes useful when it can be tied to an actual object. A name in a report, a color on the runway, and a documented handbag are different forms of evidence. For 2026, the most productive approach is to record the shade, material, model, and date together rather than assume every color seen this year was introduced this year.
This review focuses on documented examples and current primary references. It includes Guimauve and Jaune Mango, highlighted in Christie’s 2026 palette overview; Bai Brun, which is also documented on 2025 bags; and Vert Loden, currently named on Hermès’ own leather-goods pages. It is a selected reference, not an official exhaustive seasonal ordering chart.

Guimauve: the actual Mini Kelly
Guimauve introduces a soft pink-lilac impression in the featured JaneFinds Mini Kelly II 20. The JaneFinds example is in Epsom with palladium hardware. The fine embossed grain and compact Sellier shape give the pale color a defined outline.
Christie’s names Guimauve among the colors highlighted for 2026. The JaneFinds record identifies this example with a 2026 stamp. Those are complementary references: the color’s presence in the season and the specification of one particular bag.
Mauve Sylvestre and Rose Sakura are useful neighboring references, but neither is a substitute for Guimauve. Compare images taken in the same lighting wherever possible. A cool white balance can shift a pink toward lilac, while warmer illumination can obscure that distinction.
Bai Brun: present in 2026, already documented in 2025
Bai Brun belongs in a current palette discussion, but calling it exclusively new for 2026 overstates the evidence. Sotheby’s records a Bai Brun Togo Birkin 25 dated 2025. Christie’s also records a 2026 Bai Brun Madame leather Sellier Kelly 25.
The distinction matters because a color’s first appearance, an individual bag’s production year, and the year it becomes widely discussed need not coincide. The two records also demonstrate why leather should remain part of the description: Togo and Madame give the brown different texture and structure.
Use the actual color name when documented. Do not rename a Chocolat, Ébène, or other brown archive bag Bai Brun because its photograph looks similar. Dark browns are particularly sensitive to the amount and direction of light in an image.
Vert Loden: an official product reference
Vert Loden is documented on an Arçon in Togo and Swift and on a Geta in Evercolor. These are direct references for the color’s use in leather goods. They establish the particular products shown, without proving availability on every Birkin or Kelly size.
A deep green can approach black in shadow or look more olive in warm light. That visual range is a reason to request consistent photography, not a reason to merge Vert Loden, Vert Foncé, Vert Rousseau, and other greens into one name.
The official listings also illustrate how palette research can extend beyond Birkin and Kelly. A color may be visible in another Hermès model before an equivalent specimen is available to compare in a collector’s preferred format.
Jaune Mango and a disciplined color watch
Christie’s May 2026 color guide includes Jaune Mango in its discussion of the current palette. The 2025 company record also names Jaune Mango, describing a soft yellow with an orange tint. Its appearance in 2026 coverage therefore does not establish an exclusively 2026 introduction. It belongs alongside the house’s wider yellow family as a shade to compare with Jaune Ambre, Lime, and Jaune d’Or. The specific material and model remain part of the specification.
Yellow spans a broad range in the Hermès archive, from the sharp brightness of Lime to warmer amber tones. Comparing named examples in consistent light helps clarify the undertone you prefer. How to use a seasonal palette
For a purchase or a private search, record the exact shade and the acceptable alternatives separately. “Guimauve only” is a different brief from “a pale pink or lilac Mini Kelly.” Add the preferred material, hardware, size, condition, and whether an earlier production year is acceptable.
Ask about the actual piece or the current boutique offering. A seasonal article cannot promise that every color is available through the special-order program, in exotic skins, or in every country. A dated order menu is more specific evidence than a general color forecast, and a change to that menu does not erase earlier production.
For photography, the goal is comparison rather than artificial uniformity. Use unfiltered views in consistent light, show the whole object and its surface texture, and retain the verified listing name. A photograph of an older color can inform taste, but should not masquerade as a sample of another shade.
Finally, treat novelty as design context rather than a prediction of financial performance. A first-year stamp may matter to a particular collector, but it does not guarantee a premium, future scarcity, or a permanent place in the Hermès palette. Precision is more useful than a forecast: the right name, the right material, and the actual bag.
