Hermès Mini Médor Horsehair Barénia Naturel Fauve Palladium Hardware
The Mini Médor in its special-edition construction: a flared corset silhouette of natural horsehair, banded at the waist in Fauve Barénia calfskin set with three oversized palladium Médor dome studs, finished with a slim Barénia top handle. The horsehair is left in its natural state, graduating from cream to pale blond, so no two examples read identically. Barénia is the house's original saddle leather: smooth, matte, and unfinished, it develops a deep patina with handling and is reserved for a narrow slice of production.

Collector's Insight: The Médor bag line debuted in Hermès' Fall/Winter 2023 collection, translating the house's century-old studded Médor motif from collars, cuffs, and clutches into a handbag family; the Mini Médor followed in 2025. Horsehair is one of the rarest materials in the Hermès repertoire, a direct line to the maison's saddlery origins, and appears only in limited atelier runs. This edition pairs it with Barénia at well above the standard Epsom Mini Médor's positioning, reflecting the material and handwork involved.
Resale Insight: Special-material Hermès pieces in horsehair surface on the secondary market only a handful of times per year, and boutique allocation of this edition was extremely narrow. This example is 2025 production, unworn, with the special edition packaging intact.
