Jay Ahr’s passion for textiles continues with the intricately embroidered Bandana series. From the Sanskrit word for ‘a bond’, the bandana is inspired by the colourful Indian kerchiefs. However, the bandana stands as a symbol of multiculturalism, truly personal to each group it represents, whether gangs in LA, cowboys in the Midwest, or banditos in Mexico. It has been adopted and translated, imprinted with new meaning with the passing of time.
The Bandana series, inspired by the colorful Indian kerchiefs, explores both nuanced repetition as well as identity. Although the Bandana is found all over the world, it usually serves to identify a very specific tribe, be it gangs in LA, banditos in Mexico, or young students at Le Lycée.

The JaneFinds Beaded Semi-Precious Stone Crossbody Chain is hand-knotted from up to 60 varieties of natural semi-precious stones strung between lobster-clasp hardware at each end. The clasp configuration attaches directly to the sangle hardware of Hermès bags and converts the bag to crossbody or shoulder wear. The chain also functions independently as a long necklace without a bag attached.
Documented stone varieties include amethyst, apatite, carnelian, citrine, emerald, labradorite, lemon quartz, peach moonstone, peridot, Peruvian opal, pink moonstone, prehnite, rose quartz, ruby, sunstone, and tourmaline. Each stone is individually hand-knotted between adjacent stones, securing the strand against bead loss in the event of any single break. Stones are sorted into four documented colorways: Rainbow, Natural, Turquoise, and Malachite.
