The Doblis suede of the body takes the color matte and soft, while the Swift of the flap, sangle, handle and base holds it smoother and a shade darker.
The Kelly Relax keeps the Kelly flap, sangle and turn-lock on an unstructured body, so the suede gussets fold in when the bag is set down. A single long rolled handle carries it on the shoulder, five Permabrass feet protect the Swift base, and the interior is lined in toile.
Grizzly is the Hermès name for Doblis suede paired with smooth leather in one body. At 50 cm the suede gives the bag its drape, while the Swift frame takes the wear at the flap, handle and base.
Collector's Insight:
The Kelly Relax takes the Kelly flap and turn-lock and drops the rigid structure, which makes it a travel bag rather than a handbag. It is seen most often in a single leather such as Swift or Sikkim; the Grizzly pairing of Doblis suede and Swift is the less familiar version.
