For Spring Summer 2017 Hermès handed the Constance to Nigel Peake, the Irish artist and trained architect, and let him print an entire city onto Swift leather. Look closely and the abstract geometry resolves into high rises, rooftops, and trees rendered in soft pinks, warm yellows, orange, reds, blues, black, and white, a skyline on a summer day carried on the shoulder. The signature H clasp in Palladium anchors the composition, and the strap doubles from crossbody to shoulder length in the classic Constance manner.

Printed leather editions of this caliber appear once and never return, and On A Summer Day has become one of the most recognizable special editions in the Constance canon.
