The story behind the Birkin
Originated in 1984 from a conversation between Jane Birkin and Hermès Executive Chairman Jean-Louis Dumas; its structural lineage traces to the Haut à Courroies. Familiar sizes are 25, 30, 35 and 40 cm, alongside miniature, shoulder and travel versions, in both Retourné and Sellier construction.

The front and back center panels are Étoupe Veau Doblis, a warm taupe suede that absorbs light; the upper body and gussets are Bambou Clémence; and Vert de Gris Evercolor completes the palette. White contrast stitching runs throughout, and palladium hardware keeps the mix cool.

Grizzly Ghillies Birkins combine two design treatments in one bag, and three leathers of different weights must meet cleanly at the perforated seams.
