A round mechanical closure inspired by watchmaking sits on the flap, and, as on a watch, its lock mechanism shows through a sapphire crystal.

The hardware is two-tone, palladium and gold. The clasp's case and textured plate are palladium, set with gold studs, a gold spring and a gold HERMÈS PARIS plaque, and the fittings for the detachable shoulder strap are palladium. Noir lizard covers the body and flap.

Collector's Insight:
Hermès makes the Minuit au Faubourg only in precious leathers; this example is lizard. The bag shares its name with the Slim d'Hermès Minuit au Faubourg watch.

Resale Insight:
