Hermès Mini Kelly Banana 20 Belt Bag Framboise Doblis Suede Gold Hardware

Gold hardware sharpens the saturated red without interrupting the softness of the suede.

Here the suede is shaped into the curved Banana profile, a compact 20 cm format with the Kelly turn-lock scaled to the front flap. The rest of the Kelly is kept at small scale: the strap that crosses the flap wraps both sides and fastens on the back in two pointed tabs. Below the flap, the front panel rounds off into that curve.

Unlike a conventional top-handle Kelly, this design follows the body, with a shallow gusset and waist-bag proportions. Two stitched slots in the back panel take a belt of the wearer's choosing, as the bag comes on its own.

Collector's Insight:
The Banana format should be evaluated as a distinct Kelly variation rather than against a conventional Mini Kelly. Doblis should be examined under changing light because flattened nap, directional shading, and edge compression register more visibly than they do on grained calfskin.

Resale Insight:
The buyer pool is narrower than for a standard Kelly but more specialized, centered on collectors of unconventional Hermès formats. Condition of the suede surface and definition of the curved profile govern comparability.
