Hermès Constance 18 Doré Chèvre Chamkila Permabrass Hardware
Doré is a warm metallic gold, and on Chèvre Chamkila the goatskin's fine grain catches and scatters the light at many angles, giving the gold more dimension than it would have on smooth calfskin.
Permabrass hardware, a warm plated finish deeper and more yellow than palladium, keeps the H clasp in the same golden register, and the strap adjusts for shoulder or crossbody wear.

Collector's Insight:
Catherine Chaillet designed the Constance in 1959 and named it after her daughter. The H clasp is functional, a push-lock rather than decoration, and in Doré with Permabrass the whole bag reads as one gold object.

Metallic finishes show rubbing at the corners and along the flap edge first, so buyers inspect those points and the area around the clasp.
