The story behind the 24/24
Introduced in Hermès' Pre-Fall 2018 collection. A softer, slouchier bag that borrows the Kelly's turn-lock in an oversized form, with a thick top handle. Made in 29 and 35 cm, with a 21 cm version added in 2020; the 29 and 21 carry a shoulder strap that clips to rings at the back.
Discover Hermès 24/24 BagsThe 24/24 is Hermès's relaxed tote with a Kelly-style flap and turn-lock, and the Touch version sets matte alligator on the flap against a black Togo body.
The matte alligator absorbs light while the Togo's pebbled grain catches it, so the black reads in two textures, and palladium hardware keeps it cool.
Collector's Insight:
Touch pieces limit the exotic to a single focal point, which keeps a 35 cm tote practical to carry while still featuring alligator where it shows.
Resale Insight:
Touch versions of the 24/24 appear on the secondary market far less often than the all-calfskin bag.
