The story behind the 24/24
Introduced in Hermès' Pre-Fall 2018 collection. A softer, slouchier bag that borrows the Kelly's turn-lock in an oversized form, with a thick top handle. Made in 29 and 35 cm, with a 21 cm version added in 2020; the 29 and 21 carry a shoulder strap that clips to rings at the back.
Discover Hermès 24/24 BagsThe Touch treatment pairs a Togo leather body with a Matte Alligator flap, giving the relaxed tote silhouette an exotic focal point. Alligator Mississippiensis features wider, flatter scales than crocodile, with a distinctive umbilical scar pattern. The hide takes dye exceptionally well.
Interior is lined in matching leather. Hermès craftsmanship is evident in the hand-stitched saddle stitch, a technique that uses two needles working in opposite directions through pre-punched holes. Each piece is completed by a single artisan.

Matte Alligator production is constrained by raw material scarcity and limited annual output. Allocation within Hermès exotic bag production is among the most selective in the house.
