Chanel Exquisite 2.55 Reissue Medium Double Flap Gold and Black Embroidered Sequins and Lambskin on Velvet

Black velvet forms the base of this 2.55 Reissue, worked almost edge to edge in dark sequins and beads. Over it, flowers and leaves cut from gold lambskin are laid in relief, each outlined with a raised, stitched border, and several petals are filled with rows of gold and black beads.

The aged gold Mademoiselle lock closes the front flap, and the Reissue chain runs through matching aged gold rings at each side. The embroidery wraps around the back, where the rear pocket carries its own flower, and continues across the base.

Under the front flap, a black velvet inner flap closes with a second Mademoiselle turn-lock and has a zip pocket beneath it. The interior is black leather, with the CC stitched into the lining.

Collector's Insight:
In place of the quilting that defines the standard Reissue, this version is covered in sequins, beadwork and gold leather appliqué, with the Reissue chain and Mademoiselle lock kept in aged gold.

Resale Insight:
Buyers tend to compare embroidered Reissues with other embellished seasonal pieces rather than with the quilted core line, and look closely at the beadwork and the appliqué edges.
