The Shoulder Kelly is Jean Paul Gaultier's rework of the Kelly: stretched into an east-west silhouette, with the full turn-lock, sangles and flap, and a single rolled handle raised to carry on the shoulder. It reads instantly as a Kelly and clearly as something else.
Blanc is the house's pure white, and on Clémence, a soft calfskin with a broad grain, it takes an even, gentle surface. Palladium hardware keeps the white crisp.
Collector's Insight:
The Shoulder Kelly was made only during Gaultier's years at Hermès and has not returned, and a white example is less common than dark ones because white leather shows wear so readily.
Resale Insight:
White Clémence shows soiling and color transfer quickly, so buyers check the long handle, the corners and the back panel first.
