Every piece on this site has passed Jane's hands. No exceptions.

JANEFINDS is a Hermès authentication and resale house in Miami, Florida, operated by Find Holdings LLC. Every Hermès piece sold here is authenticated in person, in house, by co-founder Jane Angert, who has spent more than thirty years studying, collecting and authenticating Hermès. No piece is listed on the strength of photographs, a third-party report or a seller's paperwork alone. Each one is examined physically, read against Jane's private reference archive, graded on the published five-tier JANEFINDS Standard and photographed in house. JANEFINDS placed the highest authenticated Hermès resale on record, a private transaction of more than $2.8 million.

  1. Authenticated in person, in house

    Every piece is authenticated in person, in house, and individually inspected before it is offered. Nothing is listed sight unseen.

  2. Read against Jane's archive

    Every piece is authenticated against Jane's private archive: a working reference library spanning decades of Hermès production, covering leathers, hardware, colorways, date stamps and craft details.

  3. Graded on the JANEFINDS Standard

    Every grade is assigned by hand after in-person authentication, on the five tiers of the published Condition Guide: 1 Pristine (Store Fresh), 2 Excellent, 3 Very Good, 4 Good, 5 Vintage. Where a piece sits between tiers, we grade conservatively and disclose specifics in the listing.

    Model, size, leather, color, hardware, date stamp and condition grade are stated on every listing, with detail photography of the piece itself.

Who authenticates the bags at JANEFINDS?

Jane Angert, co-founder of JANEFINDS. She authenticates every piece herself, in person, in house in Miami. There is one reviewer, and every piece passes through her hands before it is offered.

Is JANEFINDS a legitimate place to buy a Birkin or Kelly?

JANEFINDS has sold Hermès for thirty years and is operated by Find Holdings LLC, a Florida company based in Miami. Every piece is authenticated in person before listing and graded on a published standard. Press coverage is collected on the Press page, and the house's Instagram is @janefinds.

Does JANEFINDS sell new or pre-owned Hermès?

Pre-owned. JANEFINDS is not affiliated with Hermès and is not an official Hermès point of sale. Pieces graded 1 Pristine (Store Fresh) are unworn and complete, but they are still pre-owned and are listed as such. JANEFINDS house accessories, such as crossbody chains and the Baginizer organizer, are new.

What does a JANEFINDS listing tell me?

Each listing states the model, size, construction (Sellier or Retourné where it applies), leather or skin, color, hardware finish, the Hermès date stamp with its year, the JANEFINDS condition grade and what is included. The photographs are of the exact piece being sold.

How do I buy?

Pieces with a listed price can be purchased directly on janefinds.com. Credit-card acceptance and payment arrangements are set case by case; contact JANEFINDS to confirm them for your purchase. Pieces at the top of the vault are offered by private inquiry rather than at a listed price: use the inquiry link on the listing or the contact page.

How is a piece shipped?

Domestic shipping is complimentary on every order, including secure delivery on high-value pieces. Orders ship only to a verified billing address. International shipping is available; rates are shown at checkout.

What is the return policy?

Pieces graded 1 Pristine (Store Fresh) are final sale, as are JANEFINDS Custom Shop pieces, hand-painted bags and bespoke or made-to-order pieces. For other pieces, a return request must be made within 24 hours of delivery with the tag intact; approved returns carry a 5% restocking fee. The full terms are on the Returns and Exchanges page.

Can I sell or consign my Hermès with JANEFINDS?

Yes. JANEFINDS buys outright and takes consignments of Hermès and Chanel. Submit the piece on the Sell With JANEFINDS page; Jane reviews it, terms are set for that piece, and payment follows placement.

Miami, Florida. JANEFINDS ships worldwide and works with clients by inquiry; sales@janefinds.com reaches the house directly.

Who issues the opinion. Hermès states that it cannot guarantee or verify items purchased outside an official Hermès point of sale. A JANEFINDS assessment is our own, not a certification issued by Hermès.
