Ombré Lizard is the natural-finish lizard treatment Hermès produces from hides where the natural light-to-dark gradation across the skin is preserved rather than dyed uniform. The dark spinal line and pale belly create the characteristic gradient, with no two pieces ever identical because each hide's pattern distribution is unique. Hermès selects only hides with the most balanced and symmetrical natural ombré, making the treatment among the most allocation-restricted in the exotic catalog. Niloticus Lizard (Varanus niloticus, dash symbol) carries the tightest scale grid in the Hermès exotic palette, with the agate-buffed surface amplifying the tonal shift across the pochette's flat face. Kelly Pochette is the smallest Kelly format, single flat handle, no removable strap. W stamp places production at 2024.

Collector's Insight: Ombré Lizard is among the rarest exotic treatments in the Hermès catalog, requiring hides with naturally symmetrical pattern distribution that pull from the most selective allocation tier. Lizard has the lowest annual hide yield of the three main Hermès exotic skins, and Kelly Pochette in Ombré Lizard combines the smallest Kelly format with the rarest treatment.
Resale Insight: Ombré Lizard pieces trade at significant premiums above standard exotic comparables because the treatment cannot be reproduced; each piece is unique to its hide. Complete export documentation and original receipt eliminate friction at this tier. Pristine W-stamp 2024 production captures the freshest possible end of comparable inventory.
