Hermès Birkin 25 Sellier Gold Epsom Gold Hardware
For years now, Hermès has been innovating their iconic Birkin bag design. Much like the classic Kelly bag, which comes in both Retourne and Sellier styles, the Birkin now features an elegant out-stitched Sellier construction to complement the original design (perhaps we can call it the Retourne Birkin?). The first glimpse of this new construction appeared in 2014 as the 40cm Vache Hunter Sellier Birkin, showcasing an unlined interior, a tethered zip pouch, and prominent stitches around the hardware on the bag's face. It took the maison's master craftsmen another five years to perfect the design, and they eventually released limited editions of 25cm and 30cm Sellier Birkins.
This store-fresh piece is a prime example of the refined design, and unlike the initial version, today's Sellier Birkins boast fully lined interiors, complete with all the classic pockets we've come to know and love. This 25cm bag stands out for three reasons: its color, material, and hardware. The bag is crafted from Gold Epsom leather, a classic choice, which is both subtle and elegant. This sophisticated leather is flawlessly paired with gold hardware, making this 2023 B-stamped Sellier Birkin a truly exceptional piece.

The term "hardware" refers to the metallic parts of the bag, such as the buckle hardware, base studs, lock and keys and/or strap, which are plated with a colored finish (e.g. gold, silver, palladium). The terms refer to the tone or color of the hardware and not the actual material used. If hardware is composed of precious solid metals this will be referenced in the description.
